Xàbia Council has recovered and restored one of the crosses that traditionally served to mark the boundary of the municipality. It is located on La Plana and marked the border between Xàbia and Dénia.

The cross made of tosca stone has been created by local artisan specialist company Artosca which has used old photographs to reproduce the design of the cross which includes the crest of the village as the main ornament.

The cross disappeared in the 80s and, with its replacement, the local council has recovered 16 existing crosses in symbolic points across the municipality, either marking the boundaries, the old gateways through the town walls, the conquest chapels and the L’Avenc de Xàbia.
