The annual Non-Competitive Women’s Race won’t be taking place this year, due to the ongoing health crisis. However, the Llebeig Athletics Club and the Department of Equality have both decided that they want to continue to support the cause despite the fact that the race does not take place as usual.

The organizers want to encourage all the women of Xàbia and the region to keep the charitable spirit alive and to support with their registration and acquisition of the commemorative t-shirts of this unique edition and support Aspanion (Association of Parents of Children with Cancer of the Valencian Community) and Aprosdeco (non-profit association of mothers, fathers, relatives and guardians of people with intellectual functional diversity).

They have highlighted importance of participating in order to continue supporting entities that carry out vital work to support families with a child with cancer or those who have a family member with intellectual functional diversity since current restrictions prevent these associations from carrying out any type of activity in order to raise funds to continue their work.

In addition, the race will be alive on social networks. The organization encourages women of all ages, during the week of March 1 to 7, to share photographs in which they appear doing a healthy practice with the commemorative shirt and include the hashtag #cursadeladonaxabia. Among all the participants, different gift products from the local businesses of Xàbia will be raffled.

The T-shirts will be on sale on Thursday afternoons, from 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm, outside the CEIP Graüll (Avenida Ramón Llidó) during the month of February.
