Xàbia hosts the Regional Artistic Gymnastics Championship for the first time
The championships will be held at the sports hall in the port over the weekend May 31st-June 1st.
The Pabellón Municipal Miguel Buigues Andrés will host the Regional Artistic Gymnastics Championship, which will be held in Xàbia on Saturday 31st May and Sunday 1st June. This important sporting event will bring together a total of 511 participants, 70 of whom are male and the rest female, in an event that leaves Valencia for the first time to be held in another municipality.
The program will run throughout the weekend:
Saturday 31st May, 09:00-21:00
National Female Grassroots Tournament
Sunday 1st June, 08:30-15:00
National Male Grassroots Tournament
Regional and Olympic Track competitions for for both men and women
To host this championship, the Xàbia City Council has carried out various renovations to the pavilion to ensure optimal conditions for the competition.
Elena Buigues, president of Club Deportivo Montgó Xàbia, explained that the local club will feature 38 gymnasts in various categories. She also encouraged the public to attend and enjoy the spectacle offered by the young athletes.
The councillor responsible for Sports, Toni Molina (PP), expressed the town’s pride in hosting this regional championship and emphasized that “Xàbia continues to consolidate itself as a benchmark in the organization of top-level sporting events“. He also invited residents and visitors to visit the sports hall and support the athletes in a family-friendly atmosphere and a celebration of sport.
