Xàbia businesses seek to attract residents to local stores

The trade associations have launched a campaign called “My Personal Customer”.

The trade associations of Xàbia Històrica, Xàbia Port and Xàbia Arenal have launched a new campaign that not only thanks the loyalty of residents but also to encourages them to recommend local businesses in the town to their friends, family and neighbours who live in the different urban centres and outlying urbanizations in the municipality.

The campaign is entitled “My Personal Customer” and features social media posts, advertising, radio spots and videos, all of which had been created with the collaboration of the businesses themselves as well as foreign customers, who explain why they like to buy in local shops in Xàbia in their own language.

Nine business associated with the three trade associations in the town took part, representing different types of stores in the municipality: shoe shops, fashion stores, florists, hairdressers, pharmacies, beauty salons, wine bars and opticians.

The campaign is financed by the European Union, the Retail Trade Support Programme, the Secretary of State for Commerce, the Spanish Chamber of Commerce, the Alicante Chamber of Commerce, the European Regional Development Fund – A Way of Making Europe – as well as the town hall in Xàbia.
