A snapshot of what is going in Xàbia this weekend.
Friday 6th – Sunday 8th November
What’s on in Jávea this weekend? The honest answer is – not a lot. Local musicians have been making themselves heard on social media in a bid to overturn what they consider to be a municipal ban on live music in the town after the Council promoted a rock and roll concert which will be taking place this weekend. The mayor has insisted that the ban was imposed by the regional government, despite the fact that live music continues in several nearby municipalities. The argument continues.
CD Jávea take on bottom club UD Portuarios at home this Sunday and will be hoping to build on their powerful victory in Benidown last weekend.
There is limited capacity at the municipal stadium and all health protocols will be in place. Due to the new measures introduced by the Generalitat Valenciana, games will now be played behind closed doors until early December.
On Friday night there is a charity quiz at The Roadhouse on Costa Nova in aid of APAC Protectora, the rescue horses charity.
On Sunday, there is a special education show for all the family entitled ‘Rock and roll is also a kid’s thing’ at the Ruirau d’Arnauda in Parque Montaner.
Pre-registration is required to attend this event. This event is now full.
