The regional secretary for Tourism, Francesc Colomer, has reported that, according to the Summer Season Occupancy Survey carried out by his department, “during the month of July an average hotel occupancy of 85.13%” was registered on the Valencian coast, a figure that exceeds those registered during July 2021 by 18.5 points.
Colomer explained that the data obtained through the survey carried out by the regional tourism department is superior to the survey that was carried out a month ago, where an occupancy of 75.7% in coastal hotels was estimated for July, and this demonstrates that “last-minute reservations have notably increased our initial forecasts”.
By areas, the estimated occupancy for the city of Valencia is estimated at 87.4% (13.8 points more than in July 2021). For the coast of the province of Valencia (excluding the city) the estimated occupancy was 84.7% (10% more than in July last year).

Hotels in Benidorm estimate an occupancy of 87%, which is 27 points above the same month of the previous year.
Regarding inland hotels, the survey carried out by Turisme CV shows that the Comunidad Valenciana maintains an average occupancy of 70.68%, which represents an increase of 18.4 points compared to 2021.
By provinces, in the interior of Castellón, the estimated occupancy rate stands at 69.31%, which represents an increase of 8.5 points compared to July 2021. In the interior of Valencia, the estimated occupancy rate is 77 .4%, with an increase of 33% year-on-year. For the interior of Alicante, an occupancy of 62% is estimated, which represents an increase of 7.3 points compared to July 2021.
