The regional government of the Comunidad Valenciana has authorized the modification of its Decree 29/2021, published on February 19th 2021, which approved the terms and conditions and direct granting of aid to people operating public nightlife establishment during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The modification increases the initial funding allocation of 8 million euros to 12.8 million euros, as follows:

2.1 For aid aimed at individuals or businesses corresponding to Type A of Section 2 of Article 2 – pubs, singer cafés, concert cafés, theatre cafés – there is a maximum global amount of 6,025,000 euros that has been allocated.

2.2 For aid aimed at individuals or businesses corresponding to Type B of Section 2 of Article 2 – discotheques, dance halls, banquet halls – there is a maximum global amount of 6,775,000 euros that has been allocated.

The modification has been brought about due to the need to attend to hundreds of requests for financial assistance that have been presented to the regional government within the application period that have met the terms and conditions established for receiving the aid but would have been left without help, especially a sector that has suffered particularly as a consequence of the continuing situation brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The regional government claims that it is a response that has had to be adopted urgently, given that the deadline for deciding on the aid ends in the few days.
