Report: 29/01/2021 Comunidad Valenciana
7,929 new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed through PCR or antigen tests; by province, the distribution of these new cases is 852 in Castellón, 3,222 in Valencia, and 3,849 in Alicante. In total, 298,042 positive cases have been recorded in the Comunidad Valenciana. There are currently 52 unassigned cases.
There have been a total of 62 new outbreaks of the disease across the Comunidad Valenciana; by province, the distribution is 12 in Castellón, 29 in Valencia, and 21 in Alicante, of which 5 were in the Marina Alta region as follows:
- Calp: 2 outbreaks (4 cases – social / 3 cases – education)
- Dénia: 1 outbreak (3 cases – education)
- Xàbia: 2 outbreaks (6 cases – education / 3 cases – education)
There have now been 52 outbreaks of the coronavirus in the Marina Alta in 2021.
The data shows that there are currently 69,968 active cases of COVID-19 in the Comunidad Valenciana, with represents 22.60% of the total number of positives cases recorded. This has been dropping consistently for the past few days.
There have been 98 deaths from COVID-19, bringing the total for the Comunidad Valenciana to 4,610 people; by province, the distribution of the deaths is 550 Castellón, 2,408 Valencia, and 1,652 Alicante.
There are 4,463 people currently in hospitals across the Comunidad Valenciana who are being treated for the COVID-19 infection; by province, the distribution is 461 Castellón with 53 patients in ICU, 2,227 Valencia with 345 in ICU, and 1,775 Alicante with 253 in ICU.
8,902 recoveries from COVID-19 have been registered; in total, 234,960 people in the Comunidad Valenciana have overcome the disease since the pandemic began.
113,793 doses of the vaccination have been administered throughout the Comunidad Valenciana, 111,117 Pfizer/BioNtech and 2,676 Modena. Up to now, 12,176 people has completed the vaccination programme in our region.
