Since June, the auxiliary medical centres set up by the Dénia Health Authority (DSD) in different municipalities across the Marina Alta have been working at full capacity. These summer facilities are part of the DSD reinforcement plan to increase face-to-face health care in town with the greatest influx of visitors to the region.

One of them is in Xàbia, located for the past few years in the centre of the Arenal zone in Avenida de Paris, and it will cover both residents in the area and the many visitors that come to the zone during the summer months until September 5th. Its opening hours are 10.00am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday and then 10.00am to 3.00pm on Saturday. It is closed on Sunday. The telephone number for enquiries is 96 646 71 65.

Other auxiliary medical centres have been located in the following municipalities:

Dénia: Carretera de les Marines, 196. Tel: 96 646 71 20.
Mon-Fri 10:00am-6.00pm; Sat 10.00am-3.00pm; Sunday closed.

Calp: Avenida Rosa de los Vientos, 3 (Playa del la Fossa). Tel: 96 681 64 90. This centre also has an emergency service available.
Mon-Fri 10:00am-6.00pm; Sat 10.00am-3.00pm; Sunday closed.

Benissa: Avenida de La Marina, 307 (Cala de la Fustera) within the Aula de la Mar centre.
Mon-Sat 12:00pm-3.00pm; Sunday closed.

With regards to the health centres, integrated health centres and clinics in the Marina Alta region, the summer plan reinforces the workforce during the central summer months. Initially, the DSD announced the hiring of 37 physicians and 35 nurses to provide support in Primary Care.
