Quintà 2025 ‘La Desmadrà’ kicks off the Fogueres de Sant Joan with gala night
The grand gala night is the first major event of the 2025 edition of the Fogueres de Sant Joan, arguably the biggest party of the year in Xàbia.
The official presentation of the young men and women who form Quintà 2025 ‘La Desmadrà’ took place at Salones Carrasco last Friday evening, an event marking the countdown to the start of the eagerly awaited Fogueres de Sant Joan festivities which kick off with the Pregón in just over four weeks time.
Dressed in their finest attire and supported by their family and friends, the young people enjoyed a very special evening which served not only as a symbolic introduction, but also as the real beginning of a year filled with experiences, work, traditions, and moments that will remain forever etched in their memories.
One of the most emotional moments of the evening was the announcement of this year’s representatives: the presidents of the Quintà 2025, Stephanie Dherte and Joan Cholbi, as well as the queen of Fogueres, Ainhoa Buigues, along with her ladies-in-waiting, María Mateo and Arantxa Ribes. In their remarks, the presidents expressed their pride in representing their generation and promised to “give it their all and make history.“
The president of the Fogueres Commission, Carmen Andrés, encouraged everyone to live every moment of this festive journey to the fullest and thanked her commission team for their tireless work in making the preparations for what is undoubtedly the party of the year in Xàbia.
The councillor responsible for Fiestas, Mavi Pérez (CpJ), offered some emotional words to the youngsters, encouraging them to get fully involved and to proudly represent the town of Xàbia.
Mayor Rosa Cardona closed the event with a message of support and recognition of the key role of youth in preserving and renewing our traditions.
