Socco was born in 2011 from simple mission; a desire to create a popular centre for nightlife in Xàbia. Over the past eight years it has seen several changes and experienced different fortunes but since 2014 it has grown and developed into an important destination not only for those from Xàbia but also from the region as it has become a benchmark for late-night entertainment across the province.
Its evenings have become symbols of a good night out in Xàbia as it offers music to suit all tastes and types of audience as well as signature cocktails and classic favourites mixed by experts and a wide range of gins, vodkas and whiskys from across the world.
During the summer it is open Monday to Saturday whilst the off-season sees it as a popular base for Friday and Saturday weekend fun as well as the evenings before fiesta days. Since its inauguration it has hosted the Mig Any de Fogueres every December, the midway point between the Sant Joan festivities in June, the biggest party of year touching down for a moment in the Arenal.
There are also special event parties with surprises, live music and guests DJs whilst Sunday early evening, the Alicantino Tardeo, offers rock, disco and funky music from the 70s, 80s and 90s. And on Saturday nights from 10.30pm there is Latin and ballroom dancing with Antonio and Mamen.
Socco has hosted some of the best DJs on the national and international scene, including Javi Mula, André Vicenzzo, Juan Magan, DJ Valdi, Henry Mendez, Charly Rodriguez and Dr. Bellido as well as the best of some familiar faces on the local scene such as Santi Bertomeu, Juanjo Garcia, Alex Femenía, Dani Wallace and the inimitable Paquitus Deep Jay.
Socco Live was launched in 2018, a commitment to supporting live music in Xàbia and talented and diverse bands such as Capital 90, Rock y 4, La Canalla, Warelectric, Los Cabriolets and the Happy Freuds have entertained with fantastic, high-quality shows.
