Digbys sits in ignominious (to some) location despite it's relative proximity to the beach glamour nearby. Perhaps for this reason the restauranteurs go that extra mile to provide good food and value for money. Known chefs Sharon and Simon took over relatively recently and have taken the bull by it's horns. Ostensibly a sports bar with a very relaxed ambience, the food here is so much better than 'bar snacks'. The meals here are homely, generous, well cooked and great value. On our latest visit we sampled the Fish & Chips, for, €6.95. It was beautiful. Best of all for me were the home-made chips - so much better than the frozen I had expected at this price. Service was slow at first, but fine after that. We were very happy and we'll be back for sure.
