Photo Gallery: Fogueres 2025 – The Offering of Figs and Grapes
The festeros braved the heat to parade through the historic centre to make their offering of figs and grapes to the image of Sant Joan.

Xàbia celebrated one of the traditional events of its festivities on the morning of Monday 23rd June in honour of Sant Joan: the traditional figs and grapes offering – “raïm i bacores“. The event, steeped in symbolism, made its way through the streets of the historic centre despite the high temperatures. The heat was a key factor but joy and music were also present throughout this final stretch of the fiestas.
Tradition and history dictate that the presidents and queens of the fiesta are the ones who place the offerings to Sant Joan and they did so in the various niches located along the route. The presidents, Celia Cardona and Stephanie Dherte, laid the offering in Carrer Teulería, while the infantil queen, Laia Sedeño, made hers in Carrer dels Cups. The Fogueres Queens, Ainhoa Buigues, completed this rite in the church square at the foot of the image of Sant Joan and the colourful floral tapestry made during the flower offering.
The other group of participants, made up of several peñas, were dressed as tourists, also highlighting the large number of tourists that Xàbia receives in the summer season.
