The writer María Dolors Pellicer will be presenting a new collection of poems entitled 'Comptem Cabretes i Pintem Ocells' ('We Count Goats and Paint Birds ') this Saturday 11th January in Xàbia. Edited by Andana Editorial, the work invites the reader to get carried away by the magic of poetry and discover the beauty of small things that surround them.

The presentation will start at 8.00pm in the multipurpose room at the Museo Soler Blasco in the heart of the historic centre and will feature guitarist Josep Ferrer and a duo which specializes in music poetry known as 'Trobaversos' which will interpret some of Pellicer's poems. The author herself will be on hand to explain the details of her work.

The 63-year-old writer was born in Oliva and currently lives in Pego. She has a degree in Catalan Philology from Alicante University and works as a teacher so her literary work is often aimed at children. She was recently recognised with the Fundació Caixa Cooperativa d'Algemesi children's poetry prize.

María Dolors Pellicer presenta este sábado en Xàbia su último poemario “Comptem cabretes i pintem ocells”

La escritora Maria Dolors Pellicer presentará este sábado -11 de enero- en Xàbia su poemario “Comptem cabretes i pintem ocells”. Editado por Andana editorial, este trabajo invita a dejarse llevar por la magia de la poesía y a descubrir la belleza de las cosas pequeñas que nos rodean. Ha sido reconocido con el premio de poesía infantil Fundació Caixa Cooperativa d’Algemesí.

El acto, previsto a las 20 horas en la sala multiusos del Museo Soler Blasco, contará con el guitarrista Josep Ferrer y el dúo especializado en musicar poesía “Trobaversos”, que interpretarán algunos de los poemas de Pellicer. La autora, por su parte, también intervendrá para explicar los detalles de su obra. Maria Dolors Pellicer (Oliva) es licenciada en Filología Catalana; ha trabajado como profesora y su vertiente literaria está dirigida al público infantil.
