5th August 2019
is preparing for a huge influx of fans of flamenco after some
2,000 tickets have been sold for the performance of
acclaimed dancer Sara Baras, already considered the
event of the year in the region. The 48-year-old from
Cádiz is bringing her show 'Sombras' to
the Plaza de la Constitución, a spectacular that
had a five-night run at the Sadler's Wells Theatre in
London last month.
Baras will take to the stage with her dance company
and a new choreography and magical scenery that has
become her signature. She continues to cling to classic
flamenco whilst taking the spectator a step further,
transporting them to a dimension governed by feelings.
She offers to travel in time, through colors, silence and noise, multitude
and solitude, light and shadows. Those shadows, that follow us or
accompany us, won’t cease to surprise us. A trip in which Sara Baras’
constant evolution will guide us through her trajectory, showing us new
spaces that will remind us of that scent of what is made with soul.
