CD Jávea has presented a strong senior squad ahead of the start of the 2019/2020 season which begins in four weeks time with an attractive home tie against Pego CF.  After arriving midway through last season, coach Juan Carlos Signes has been able build his own team during the summer, a determined side which aims to build on the 4th spot finish and make a confident claim for the top three and promotion to the Third Division, a level where CD Jávea last played almost a quarter of a century ago. And it would be a fitting conclusion to mark the 80th anniversary of the football club for them to return to the national level.

The players. wearing the new football shirt selected by the fans on social media by a poll over the past few weeks, were introduced to the decent crowd one by one, starting with the new signings: striker Cristian Gonzalez "Panucci" who scored 15 goals for CD Dénia last season, midfielder César Ortiz (CD Dénia - 8 goals), striker Juan Manuel Guerrero (CD Dénia - 18 goals), striker Álvaro Bernaldez (UD Carcaixent - 10 goals), midfielder Renzo Ridao (CD Utiel - 4 goals) and then welcoming back tricky midfielder Álvaro López who played in the red-and-white stripes during the 2017/2018 season before being snapped by Third Division side UD Rayo Ibense.

Coming up from the junior ranks are striker Álex Rodriguez, goalkeeper Josep Ivars and defender Santi Catalá and the new faces will be joining a strong set of players who helped the club claim its highest position for 16 years last season: club skipper Aldo Michan, a solid defender who made his 300th senior appearance last season, goalkeepers Edu Samblas and Cristian Andrada, defenders Ayoze Espinar, Cristian de Luis, Marcos Bisquert, Mourad Addallahi and Paolo Ayala, midfielders Ádrian Ramis, Ferran Molina, Javi Bas, Pablo "Pau" Soliveres, Paco Gazquez, Roberto Fernandez and Sergio "Uru" Quesada, with the striker Rubén Ortolá benefiting from the arrival of a trio of very experienced forwards who scored 43 goals between them last season.

Coach Juan Carlos Signes has also built his own technical team to drive the squad forward both on and off the pitch: assistant coach Miguel Ángel Martinez and trainer José Manuel Enguix "Cabe" have both worked with Carlos at CD Dénia whilst goalkeeping coach Vicente Ortolà was a popular figure between the sticks at CD Jávea. They are joined by physiotherapist Ada Simo who also previously worked at CD Dénia whilst kit man Rafael Fernandez returns for another season.

After the formal presentation, there was a friendly game against CF La Nucia who will be competing in the Segunda Division "B" for the first time this coming season, two levels above CD Jávea, and it was the team from La Marina Baja which took the game by two late second-half goals although the rojiblancos gave a strong display which promises much for the forthcoming campaign.
