The 24th edition of the Festival Internacional de Xàbia will be taking place at the end of this month, from Thursday 27th June to Saturday 29th June, at its normal location next to IES Número 1 high school in Vía Augusta. The festival has become hugely popular for offering the chance to sample plenty of food and drink from around the world as well as a full programme of live music and entertainment.

The organising association has presented the details of this latest edition of the cultural festival which highlights the many different nationalities that live together in harmony in Xàbia through gastronomy as well as culture.

The participating countries in 2019 will be Spain, Madagascar, Mexico, Morocco, Argentina, Italy, Uruguay, Poland, France, Colombia, Germany, Switzerland, Ecuador, Chile, Cuba, Venezuela, Belgium, Peru, Holland and England, each of which will be offering typical food and drink from their homeland. Also attending will be the Bomberos Voluntarios de Balcón al Mar, the Cruz Roja de Xàbia as well as the Department of Tourism at the Ayuntamiento de Xàbia. Raúl de Lope, president of the Asociación Festival Internacional, explained that Ireland and Russia will not be taking part this year whilst Peru will be returning after a short absence.
