CF TOUS 1-4 CD JÁVEA
Confident away win sets up Marina Alta derby

Sunday 24th March 2019

JAVEA NEWS | CF TOUS 1-4 CD JÁVEA

CD Jávea recorded their fifth double of the season with a crushing 4-1 defeat at CF Tous, the goals coming from Marcos, Favio and a brace from top scorer Palau. The win keeps the rojiblancos in touch with the top three and, with the visit of arch rivals CD Dénia this weekend, the recent good run of form sets up a mouth-watering contest.

The first half was largely dominated by Jávea who began strong and opened the scoring after just eight minutes through a free-kick from Marcos Bisquert. The hosts worked hard to try and get back into the game and Jávea goalkeeper Edu Samblas had to be on top form to block a chance of Magraner whilst Jaunpe also went close. At the other end, Favio missed a chance to put the rojiblancos into a commanding position at half-time.

The second half saw the hosts awarded a penalty after 51 minutes after defender Cristian brought down Jaunpe inside the area. The spot kick was saved by Edu Samblas but Jaunpe was on hand to put the rebound into the back of the net and bring the home side back on level terms. The hosts grew confident and might have gone ahead through Edu Lopez but his shot went wide. And then, on the 58th minute, Favio put Jávea back into the lead through a free-kick. Once again, Tous fought to get themselves back into the game and Jaunpe hit the bar. In a game that flowed from end to end, substitute Palau went close with an overhead kick before fellow replacement Lucas Bou also had a chance. As the game edged towards the final whistle, top scorer Palau finally got himself on the scoresheet to make it 3-1 to Jávea before adding a fourth just before the end.
