Two second-half goals secured
a second successive win for CD Jávea at the Estadio
Municipal Villa de Enguera on Saturday afternoon,
completing another season double as the rojiblancos
begin the second-half of the season in winning style.
Goals from substitute Favio Osorio and striker Lucas
Bou, returning to form after a long period out injured with
his third goal in two games, secured all three points
for the rojiblancos to breathe new life into their promotion
took early charge of the game and had to clear chances
to open the scoring early but failed to take them. Taking
command in midfield, they launched wave after wave of
attacks but the forward men failed to take their opportunities.
As the first half progressed, the hosts began to get
themselves into the game and had their own chance to
take the lead but Jávea keeper was in top form
to block the shot and maintain the stalemate into the
swapped sides at the start of the second half with Enguera
trying to take command but finding it every difficult
to break down a resilient defence, still the best in
the group. The match ebbed and flowed with either side
capable of snatching victory before Jávea finally
got the break through substitute Favio, who opened the
scoring just a minute after coming on for Ayoze.
Three minutes later, the rojiblancos doubled their advantage
through a goal from Lucas Bou, his third in two games,
as he took advantage of a defensive line demoralised
by the opening goal just a few minutes before. CD Jávea
held on for the win and claimed another three points to
maintain their push for promotion, now just two points
off CD Dénia in third place.
