of Semana Santa and Easter which has returned similar
data to last year. Councillor Antonio Miragall (Tourism)
said that data collected by his department estimates
that hotel occupancy has been 90.13%, unchanged from
last year and 20 points up on 2013.
occupation of the official campsites in Jávea
declined very slightly this year with 77% occupancy
recorded against 78% of 2014.
said that figures for the leading edge of tourism in
Jávea, which is those for the occupation of holiday
homes, will be released in a few weeks since they are
calculated on data based on waste generation and the
consumption of electricity and water.
the councillor said that his department has received
positive feedback from the hospitality sector who have
reported that the influx of visitors has been "very
good" both in the beach areas which have benefited
from the good weather that was enjoyed over the long
Easter weekend as well as the historic centre of town
which benefited from the attraction of the traditional
Easter craft market.
