CD Jávea make the short journey up the A-7 motorway tomorrow Saturday to take on bottom club Racing Rafelcofer CF in a match that could be a decisive one for the promotion hopes of the rojiblancos, especially as head coach Diego Miñana will be without defensive pair Juan Soler (suspension) and Javier “Toti” Sánchez (injury) whilst there are doubts over the fitness of Javi Hernández, although an ultrasound scan has not revealed any significant ligament damage.

Miñana says that there are enough reasons to consider it a very important match for which his side will have to prepare well. CD Jávea’s only two defeats of the season have both been at home – and one of those was against Racing Rafelcofer CF back in October, an unlikely 0-2 reverse. Thus, the head coach is calling on his team to ignore what happened in that game and concentrate on the present.

One of the aspects that worries him most is the fact that there are some very difficult weeks ahead of his side with a quick succession of games coming as the club faces a growing list of injuries as well as four key players sitting on four yellow cards, just one away from a one-match suspension – Paco, Jorrin, skipper Aldo and Obele. The first team currently has 18 players and Miñana has assured that “we will weather as best we can and try to put out the most competitive team possible”, adding that it would be ideal to be able to sign a new player but if not, then the club has to move forward with what it has.
