Polideportivo Municipal La Murada

GETTING THERE

CD Murada play at the football ground of the Polideportivo Municipal La Murada which is located on the outskirts of the town of La Murada. Allow around 1 hour 45 minutes for the journey.

OUR OPPONENTS

CD Murada represents the town of La Murada located in the region of the Vega Baja del Segura, about 10 kilometres snorth of the city of Orihuela.

The football club was formed in 2011, competing in the Segunda Regional, the third tier of regional football in the Comunidad Valenciana. At the end of the 2017-18 season, the club finished top of Group 15, winning promotion to the Primera Regional and then completed back-to-back promotions by finishing second in Group 8 and defeating CD FB Eliana 5-4 on aggregate in the promotion play-offs to reach the regional top tier.

CD Murada finished 4th in Group 6 at the end of the 2020-21 season, the club’s highest ever finish in competitive football, but after four seasons in the Regional Preferente, it finished in the bottom half of Group 4 and was placed in the Primera FFCV after the reorganisation of regional football in the Comunidad Valenciana, now the second tier. At the end of the 2023-24 season, the club finished third, missing out of a play-off spot by two points.

This season, CD Murada have slowly built on the performance of last season. After topping the table after one game, a varied run of form saw the club flounder in mid-table before embarking on a stunning run of form in recent weeks, ten games without defeat, which saw it become a serious rival for the top two spots. However, two draws and a defeat – a 1-5 reverse against CD Montesinos – in the last three games has seen the club slip away from the leading pack and are currently seven points behind CD Jávea.

HEAD 2 HEAD

CD Jávea and CD Murada first met earlier this season when the rojiblancos ran out 2-0 winners at home, the second in the spectacular run which took them to the top of the table.

CD Murada’s home form is currently the best in the group with nine wins from 13 games and average of 2.3 points per game. CD Jávea’s away form has suffered after three straight defeats on the road but the average points haul is still 1.7 per game, well above the current average for the group.
