This Saturday brings a very complicated match for CD Jávea as they host L’Olleria CF, currently sitting in second spot and it comes at a bad time for head coach Julio Ivorra who has to contend with another growing list of casualties – Tomas and club captain Aldo are suspended whilst Fran, Rubén, Elián and Borja find themselves on the injury list.

CD Jávea will be facing a side which has won eight of its last ten games and sit in second spot with 51 points, six points behind runaway leaders Ontinyent 1931 CF. They have been the revelation of the group this season and will arrive in Xàbia full of confidence. For Dénia, the derby defeat against CD Dénia last Sunday has been an expensive one with suspensions and injuries.

Xàbia AL DÍA spoke with head coach Julio Ivorra.

The derby started well for Javea, but the lack of forcefulness with specific failures, 1st and 2nd goal, weighed down the team

The truth is that we made a very good start to the game, playing as we had insisted all week, with personality, getting the ball played from the goalkeeper, with possession, etc. It was a magnificent 20 minutes but their goal [from a mistake] affected us a lot psychologically and we were at their mercy until the break. We came out well again after the break and before their goal Javi had a chance that Castillo took out under the sticks. We went from 2-1 to 1-2 in a matter of minutes, they were details that decided the game.

You have to look at Saturday and the visitor is Ollería, a team on a good run that follows in the wake of Ontinyent

They have a real team, we have to recover from the blow and stand up to them.

You are going to have casualties due to suspension and injury, do you think you can recover one of the injured?

We have the confirmed unavailability of Tomás and Aldo due to suspension and Fran and Elián due to injury, Rubén and Borja have to wait until the last minute.

Last Sunday, Joan’s absence and Paco’s position in midfield caught our attention. Was it for technical or physical reasons?

It was a technical decision, in the case of Paco, because he, together with Fran, is for me the most qualified and daring to get the ball from behind, he always asks for the ball.

If all the casualties are confirmed, you will have to use more youth players.

There will be no choice but to call youth players, there are too many casualties.
