MARINA ALTA FOOTBALL ROUND-UP | 01/02 February 2025
Another hat-trick from new signing Aliou secured a fifth successive victory for CD Jávea as they move into third spot, just two points off the top.

Lliga À Punt Comunitat – Grup Sud
UD Tavernes remain two points clear at the top of the table, thanks to a 2-0 home win over CF Gandía whilst CD Thader move into second spot after coming back from behind to claim a 3-1 home victory over Hércules CF “B” who drop from second to sixth spot. UD Benigànim climb into the final promotion play-off spot after a tight 4-3 home win over CFI Alicante.
CF UD Calpe’s 1-1 home draw against bottom club CD Eldense “B” drops them down to 10th spot whilst CD Dénia handed Paterna FC their first away win this season – and indeed their first points on the road – with former CD Jávea defender Willy scoring the consolation goal in the final minutes of the game. The Dianese side remain just a point above the drop zone.
The bottom three remains unchanged, although Paterna’s win lifts them above CF Gandía and CD Eldense “B”, whose draw at Calpe reduces the gap to four points from safety.
Leading Scorers: Matias Nicolas Laxague Rivero (SC Torrevieja) – 9 goals in 16 games (4 penalties).

Primera FFCV – Grupo 4
CD Jávea move into third spot, just two points off the top of the table, after an extraordinary 3-1 win over league leaders Muxtamel CF. Aliou scored his second hat-trick of the season to take his tally to 7 goals in 4 games, the first converting a fantastic cross into the box from the right-hand side, the second scored from the spot after a push on Destefano and the third a header from a corner. Mutxamel CF hit the post after being awarded a penalty, defender Isaac being shown a straight red after pulling down his man in the box. It’s the first time that CD Jávea have chalked up five successive wins since the end of the 2022-23 season; the last time they made it to six was way back in 2002/2003. Next week’s visit to struggling Villajoyosa CF could be interesting.
Despite the defeat, Mutxamel CF remain top – just. Santa Pola’s 2-0 home win over CD El Campello moves them into second spot and just a point behind whilst CD Almoradí’s surprise home defeat to Catral-Castrum CF ended their nine-match unbeaten run and drops them down to fourth spot.
At the other end of the table, CF Intercity “B” remain bottom, despite a 3-2 away win at Novelda CF, their first victory on the road. Their efforts were confounded by both Villena CF (3-0) and CF Sporting de San Fulgencio (3-1) winning their home matches. Just four points separates the bottom five.
Leading Scorer: Pablo Martínez Más (Catral-Castrum CF) 12 goals in 16 games (1 penalty).

Segona FFCV – Grupo 6
CD Simat remain three points clear at the top of the table after a 1-0 away win at CD Dénia “B” whilst UE Benifaiò keep up the pressure after a 2-1 home win over Real de Gandía CF. UD Oliva move into third spot, thanks to a 2-0 home win over CD Cullera and FB Teulada-Moraira’s goalless home draw with Safor CF Gandía.
Gorgos CF recorded their fourth successive victory after a 2-1 home win over Daimús CF and have now gone seven games undefeated but remain in 6th spot. CF Orba move into 8th after a 1-0 away win at struggling UD Alginet.
At the bottom, Almussafes CF drop into the relegation zone after losing a “six-pointer” with CF Bellreguard who climb out of the danger zone as a result. Both UD Alginet and CD Dénia “B” remain well adrift of safety.
Leading Scorer: Marc Bonifacio Gomar (Daimús CF) – 12 goals in 14 games (2 penalties).

Tercera FFCV – Grupo 12
CF Benitatxell lead at the top of the table has been cut to two points after their 1-1 draw at CEF El Verger, who started the weekend in second spot. The leader leaders had put themselves in front just before the break before the hosts pulled one back 14 minutes from time. CD Pedreguer’s 3-2 home win over CF UE Finestrat, their seventh game without defeat, meant that they leap-frogged over CEF El Verger and put some pressure on the leaders.
UD Ondarense won 4-0 at home to Beniarbeig CF in one of the closest Marina Alta derbies of the season; their respective pitches are just 800m apart. Former CD Jávea favourite Dani García scored two of the goals for the side from Ondara.
Leading Scorer. David Molines (CEF El Verger) – 18 goals in 14 games (1 penalty).
