How could it be otherwise? The news and controversies of the summer (and the rest of the year) have been marked in the parade of the peñas of the port zone in the 2022 float parade. After two years without being able to express with their usual irony and opinion on the day to day experience of living in Xàbia, these groups were able to do so once again. The auditorium and other stopped works were some of the topics that were treated from their comic point of view as well as the so-called “wedding of the year”.

The parade has begun with some dancers from Versailles itself and, behind them, Dona Maria with her usual dances and a heart in the car that accompanied her with the following message “Dona Maria quiere mucho Jávea“.

Banners adorned the lorries and vehicles with critical messages such as: “if you want to go to the Arenal beach, you have to swim with turds“; “I have a hybrid salary 50% electricity, 50% gasoline“; “Chulvi: your Vespa runs on 95 or 98?“, “if you want to finish the swimming pool you’ll have to pay more“, “without an auditorium, Xàbia is a cultural town and this year the “cagadero” function was on the Arenal beach“; “the works on the auditorium, at the rate they are going, will be older than the Vienna Philharmonic“; “if they clean up the roundabouts a little, Jávea would look beautiful, now it’s a little neglected“.

After the peñas, followed the schools, the Fogueres Commission, the Moors and Christians, the Casa de Andalucía and finally the mayoralesas 2022 of the Mare de Déu de Loreto, who closed the parade with a special float through which wanted to celebrate 125 years of parties.
