Individual arrested for alleged drug dealing in the old town of Xàbia
The individual was arrested after being observed by officers providing suspected drugs on two occasions.
On the evening of Friday 30th May 31, officers from the Policía Local de Xàbia arrested a man for an alleged crime against public health during preventive measures against drug dealing in the old town area.
The incident took place in the area of Calle Calvario and Ronda Norte, where officers, as part of a citizen security surveillance operation, observed an individual quickly exchanging an object with a young man riding a bicycle. Both immediately left the scene in opposite directions, although the man, known for previous drug trafficking incidents, was identified.
A few minutes later, officers again located the same individual, who approached a vehicle occupied by two young men. After a brief encounter, another exchange of what was believed to be a narcotic substance occurred.
Given the repeated incidents and the evidence observed, officers arrested the suspect for an alleged crime against public health. The investigation has been transferred to the Guardia Civil for further investigation and further action.
This intervention is part of the preventive actions being carried out by the Policía Local in the municipality to combat drug dealing and ensure public safety.
