If you would like to do some fun exercise and brain training /coordination at the same time, meet new people and gain confidence on the dance floor then learning to dance modern jive is for you!

Ceroc Dance are a friendly dance group and they want to increase their numbers, for any age, couples, singles.  It goes without saying that the girls and ladies do like to dance, it’s the fellas who can are highly sought after. If you like to ‘strut your stuff’ to popular music then come join them, ideally with a partner if you have one. And spectators are welcome so come and take a look

Modern jive is a dance style derived from a mixture of swing, lindy-hop, rock ‘n’ roll, salsa  and others, the main difference is that foot work is simplified to make it easier. The club learns small sequences which when put together look good, fit with the rhythm of the music and make bopping to your fave music worth the while.

The sequences all have names to help you remember them so you can practice  at home if you have a partner, ready for the next dinner dance or dance event.  A great way to burn off the dinner and avoid drinking too much alcohol! We all start as a beginner just as did all those strictly dancers!

The club starts again in September at 8.00pm on Thursday nights at the Javea Karting/Isla Bonita venue which has a spacious and airy dance floor so come along and give it a try. The excellent teacher is Martin and his wife Carol, both dance supremes. There are beginner and intermediate classes then time for freestyle. And, as always, there is a very nice bar open for drinks.

For more information, telephone Martin on 96 588 2119 or just drop in at 8.00pm. All welcome!
