Restaurante Portitxol delivers haute cuisine using local produce and traditional methods by bringing together tradition and innovation.

Executive Chef Ana learnt from her grandmother Pepica all about herbs, their benefits and uses in the kitchen as well as how to salt fish and conserve produce using natural methods, traditional cuisine made using the products that the land provides and the art of butchery and traditional sausage making.

Salva used to accompany his grandfather Cristobal in the mornings to do the shopping and in the afternoons they went to the fish market to buy the freshly caught fish from the bay and learnt to choose products of quality.

Portitxol cuisine is based on Mediterranean products, creating dishes of quality without the need for lavish garnishes. This is one of the standards of Ana´s cuisine.

The menu offers various individual dishes and sharing platters as well as rice dishes at midday and fish available in a variety of forms; smoked, dried, stewed and grilled as well the great selection of wines with special emphasis on the vineyards of the Mediterranean coast.

There is a menu del día which offers bread with tomato and allioli, a selection of croquetas, starter, main course and dessert or coffee.

Connected to the restaurant is the Taberna Santa Coqueta serving drinks and tapas all day with access to the fantastic roof terrace. All drinks are served with an appetiser but they also have a full menu of tapas with their speciality croquetas taking centre stage (and rightly so) with 10 varieties.
