Casa de Andalucía de Xàbia celebrates 30 years of fiesta in honour of the Virgen de Rocío
The weekend celebrations include an official presentation, a special anniversary flower offering and a procession around the town.
With the memories of this year’s big party, Les Fogueres, still fresh in the minds of Xabieros, the town will be turning green and white as the spotlight moves to the Casa de Andalucía which will be celebrating the 30th anniversary of its Romeria, the traditional fiesta in honour of the Virgen de Rocía.
Since its arrival in the municipality, this Andalusian tradition has taken root among the residents, becoming a popular festive event on the local calendar.Between Friday 27th June and Sunday 29th June, Xàbia will host a programme filled with emotion, music, and devotion that will pay tribute to three decades of devotion to the La Paloma Blanca.
The epicenter of the festivities will be the Riurau d’Arnauda amongst the trees of the Parque Montaner. Highlights include tributes, the presentation of the new representatives of the Rociera, musical performances, a floral offering, and, as a finale, a grand procession through the town culminating in a communal paella.
Programme 2025 – 30th Anniversary
Friday 27th June 2025
20:00 – Official presentation of the festivities. Inaugural ceremony with the appointment of the new officials and a special tribute to all those who have participated throughout these 30 years of history. This will be followed by a performance by singer Marisol Delgado. To close out the evening, there will be a disco with Raúl Albi until 14:00.
Saturday 28th June 2025
19:30 – Special 30th anniversary flower offering with the collaboration of former pilgrimage officials. Itinerary: Departure from the Casa de Andalucía (Avenida Arquitecto Urteaga) passing through Ronda Sud, Carrer Roques, and Calle Santa Marta to reach the iconic church of San Bartolomé where a short service will be held.
Sunday 29th June 2025
10:00 – Misa rociera, sung by the Aires del Sur choir in the church of San Bartolomé. Afterwards, a special 30th anniversary procession. Departure: La Iglesia de San Bartolomé, Santa Marta, Roques, Ronda Sud, Arquitecto Urteaga, Thiviers, Historiador Palau, Av.Trenc d’Alba, Avenida dels Furs, Avenida Ausías March, Avenida del Puerto, Avenida Juan Carlos I, Avenida Alicante, Ronda Norte, Avenida Princípe d’Asturias, Carrer Bon Aire, Plaza de la Constitución, Carrer Rafael Echagüe, finishing at the Riurau d’Arnauda in the Parque Montaner where there will be paella for all.
