Tuesday 14th December 2021 – PRESS RELEASE with Mike Smith

The Cancer Care Jávea association has opened a new charity shop in the La Plaza 7 urbanization (Avinguda de Paris, 8B in the Arenal), a place where they will sell second-hand items and raise funds with which to finance their support services for people with cancer.

Mayor José Chulvi was joined by councilor Rita Berruti (Social Services & health) to attend the official opening of the store and learn more about the new projects of the association. One of recent implementation which has had a great positive impact on its users is the team of volunteer nurses who guide and help with communications of both patients and families with hospital centres in the process of diagnosis, tests, treatment and follow-up care.

Cancer Care Charity Centre has been operating in Xàbia since 1998, almost 25 years raising funds to support hospitals, research and care for cancer patients.
