C.D. Dolores

C.D. Dolores opted for voluntary relegation from the Tercera División during the summer in order to clear mounting debts, their place being taken by C.D. La Nucia. However pre-season preparations were almost non-existent and the club failed to fulfil their opening fixture at home to Albatera C.F. followed by their next scheduled fixture away at Pinoso C.F.

As a consequence, the Valencian Football Federation were forced to expel C.D. Dolores from the Regional Preferente. Therefore only the bottom TWO teams will be relegated from Group IV at the end of the season.
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Promotion and Relegation

There is NO automatic promotion. The top three sides entered a play-off competition with the corresponding sides in Groups I, II and III.  Pinoso C.F. lost their First Round elimination match 3-1 on aggregate against Group III side Guadassuar C.F. whilst champions U.D. Horadada lost their final elimination game against Group III's Ribarroja C.F. 4-3 on penalties after two goalless draws; reports suggested that Horadada were by far the better team over the two games. Alicante C.F. "B" returned to the Third Division on the first attempt by beating both San Jorge C.F. and Guadassuar C.F..

The bottom two sides were relegated to the Regional Primera and will be replaced by Aspe U.D. and Villena C.F. for the 2008/09 season.
