CD Javea brought the Hereculean strongmen to their knees
with a scintilating performance, resuming their early season promise, with star man
David Ivars showing how to finish by bagging a brace after some
classy team football writes Terry Bradshaw for www.javeamigos.com.
In the first quarter Hércules
CF 'B' threatened Javea's goal with
strong runs down the left flank by David against the inexperience
of Dino at fullback. However it would be Javea who would open the scoring on 15 mins through
David Ivars after good work by Javi and a pinpoint cross from Pablo Irigoyen.
Following the goal Javea continued with some stylish play,
Javi mostly the architect of many moves feeding the buzzing Pablo
Irigoyen whenever
possible. Onieva, having shaken off his recent injury, was looking sharp and
only a sterling performance by host custodian Celso saw Javea enter the break
with just one goal to the good.
The travelling army of some forty fans
who had made the trip down to Alicante had hardly hit their
seats before a fabulous display of interpassing between Javi and Pablo Irigoyen saw
Onieva score with a netbuster, surely his best of the season.
The strongmen were far from done and a resurgence saw some
good attacking play, again involving David now switched to the
right flank. Within the space of five minutes we saw Ruben Sierro and then Dino
clear the goalmouth after the normally capable Ortolá was outreached by
the very tall Hércules front men.
However it was Javea who regained control, finally
demonstrating how to finish the game off with precise one touch football
resulting in two eyecatching goals from Ivars ( 77m) and Pablo Irigoyen (86m), the play
orchestrated by Javi and Onieva.
For once the pulses of the travelling army were normal and
the nail varnish intact as the ref saw no point in continuing the torment of
the local support.
The 4 - 0 win was a remarkable commendation to Javea's new
coach José Luis. Late team changes enforced by injuries saw him
field the rojiblancos youngest side ever with no fewer then five youth players
taking part on the day. Yet Javea left the provincial capital with the proud
record of being the current highest scorers in
Group IV with 14 goals from six games, a rate of over
two per game, and set for the visit of struggling
Aspe UD in Jornada 7.
