JAVEA NEWS | XÀBIA WELCOMES REGIONAL HEALTH MINISTER

The Regional Health Minister at the Generalitat Valenciana Ana Barceló visited the Ayuntamiento de Xàbia this week and was welcomed to the town by mayor José Chulvi and several councillors from the local government team.

The visit formed part of a tour being carried out by the head of regional health to publicise the management model and the achievements of the Ministry in providing health care in the region during the current legislature as well as present the challenges that are to be faced in the future.

In the case of the Marina Alta, the minister reaffirmed the commitment of the regional government to revert the Hospital Marina Salut to the private system on a permanent basis. She explained that this would not improve the Dénia centre but also all of its associated services such as outpatient clinics, welfare services, etc.

During the visit to the Ayuntamiento, the minister was presented with a copy of the Villa de Xàbia document and signed the visitor's book.
