Following a long-standing tradition, the volunteers of The Original
Charity Shop and Library in Javea, were delighted to lend Santa a helping hand
delivering the presents to the children at the Raquel Paya School for children
with special needs in Denia.
usual this was a very exciting day for the youngsters
who awaited Santa’s arrival with great anticipation. The excitement reached
fever pitch when Santa arrived, weighed down by his heavy bag with all those
presents. After a medley of popular Christmas carols it was time for Santa to
open the bag and each child was presented with a very special gift of their
choice. Following the presentation the volunteers were treated to tapas and
wine, beautifully prepared by some of the teenagers who are doing a catering

to an overnight stay at the Oceanografico in Valencia. President Georgina
Harvey was very happy to present a cheque for €1,000 towards the cost of this
The Original Charity Shop and Library Christmas raffle was
once again a huge success. We would like to sincerely thank everyone who made
this possible: our generous sponsors, clients and customers who bought raffle
tickets, staff who collected prizes, sold raffle tickets and helped wrap the
presents for the children. A list of winning tickets will be on display in the window
of the shop on Carrer Nancy 1, in Javea’s Arenal. Don’t forget to check your
tickets – you could be one of those lucky winners!
