The Casa de Cultura in Plaça del Baix in the heart of the historic centre will be hosting the premiere of a documentary against LGBTQ phobia produced by students of IES Antonio Llido and IES Numero 1. The screening will be taking place this Friday at 8.00pm and admission is free for all interested.

The production has been created as part of the 'Xàbia Diversa' educational project which has been promoted by the Department of Equality. Councillor Montse Villaverde (Equality) explained that the video will bring the experiences of the sexuality of various residents of the town who have collaborated selflessly to contribute to the fight against sexual discrimination.

The councillor thanked the generosity of all those who have agreed to tell their stories about something that affects the intimate sphere such as sexuality with the objective of continuing to advance as a society until each person can be free and respected, whatever their identity and sexual orientation.
