MAYOR
WELCOMES REPRESENTATIVES OF 2012 SAN JUAN FIESTAS Friday 13th
January 2012
José
Chulvi, the mayor of Jávea, welcomed the young representatives
of the 2012 Fogueres / San Juan celebrations to the
town hall in a special civic reception. Accompanied
by Juan Ortolá, the councillor responsible for Fiestas,
he talked to José David Bou Sala and Mari Ángeles Caballero
Mata, the presidents of "La Frutaka",
the 2012 Quintŕ which has been formed by more
than 80 local youngsters who will be celebrating their
"coming of age" during the year. Accompanying
the seniors were Rubén Bisquert Ferrer and Carmen Cholbi
Mulet, the young presidents of the "juvenil"
comission that will help organise the festivities in
June.
Also
welcomed by the mayor was the recently-elected Fogueres
Queen for 2012, Ángela Cholbu Mulet, who was accompanied
by Aurora Ferrer Ribes and Sandra Valero Martínez, her
ladies-in-waiting, and the junior Queen María Buigues
de Tapia accompanied by Claudia Sánchez Tacho and Laura
Calavia Zellinger.
The
councillors wished all the young representatives the
very best of luck for a year that will be very special
for them all as well as reminding them to work hard
with the Fiesta Commission, chaired by Elena Lopez,
to maintain the quality of the celebrations whilst appreciating
that Jávea is currently in a time of austerity. The
mayor also reminded them that, whilst they should enjoy
themselves during the festivities in June, they should
not neglect their school studies!
