TOWN HALL PUTS OUT TO TENDER TWO POSITIONS IN THE INDOOR MARKET

The Ayuntamiento of Jávea plans to put out to tender two positions in the indoor Municipal Market that are currently vacant. The applications will be invited very soon but those interested should visit the officies of the Agencia para el Fomento de las Iniciativas Comerciales (AFIC) at Carrer Roques, 5. The positions can offer any products approved in the municipal area: food (butchery, prepared foods, wines and spirits, delicatessen, dietetics, dried nuts, bakery, fresh fish, meats, pickles, poultry, eggs and game meat) as well as complementary activities such as a drugstore and perfumery, florist, ice cream parlour or bar-cafeteria.

Those wishing to tender must bid at least 1,855.96 euros and those who offer the best bid will be awarded the positions, on the proviso that they must accept the same conditions as their fellow traders in the market, including a quarterly payment to the Ayuntamiento of 400 euros, calculated according to the size of the position.

Juan Luis Cardona, the councillor responsible for Economic Development, explained that the intention is to avoid having empty position in the municipal market as well as promote employment and self-employment among the citizens of Jávea.
