COUNCIL
APPROVES NEW BYE-LAWS FOR PUBLIC ROADS AND SPACES Monday 4th
June 2012
The ruling
coalition of Jávea (PSPV, XD and CpJ) have approved
new bye-laws which will regulate the use of public roads
and spaces throughout the municipality. The new regulations
will limit the use of pavements for tables and chairs
where the free passage of pedestrians is not guaranteed,
concerns
raised by residents
during several meetings of the 'Planning and Environment
Advisory Committee' which was inaugurated earlier in
the year. These will be on public display for one month
before final adoption and residents are encouraged to
view them and make their own suggestons or objection
as appropriate.
The
meeting also approved the partnership agreement with
the town of Poble Nou de Benitachell for the use of
its municipal swimming pool by all registered residents
of Jávea as the same rate as residents of the neighbouring
municipality. This builds on the initial
agreement
reached between the two town halls last October.
A
motion proposed by the Bloc Centristes for the reinstatement
of the two emergency teams in the health centres of
Jávea, Denia and Calpe by the company that manages the
health care system in the Marina Alta district was unanimously
approved.
