Kru was set up and opened by Darren Libby in 2011. Jo Black arrived as a part time senior stylist to Kru in 2014 and has now taken over from Darren, expanding the salon and its staff to its true potential. Jo has since refurbished the salon and taken on extra professional staff.
The team now includes; Jo Black - manageress, George - barber, Karina - senior stylist, Emma - senior stylist/colourist, Alison - receptionist, Natalie - beautician, Olivia - junior/apprentice and Amy our permanent make up artist/micro blader.
A beauty room has been added offering all the beauty services; including manicures, pedicures, shellac, waxing, tinting, facials and massage.
Because of Kru’s true success in the hair and beauty trade Jo Black is now introducing a training academy, offering the NVQ in hairdressing and beauty.
Register NOW to train for an NVQ at the KRU Hair & Beauty Academy starting January 2017.
Have you been considering a career in hair and beauty? This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to begin their working life or perhaps considering a change in their profession/life or maybe a complete relocation. If you live abroad Kru also offers on site living accommodation to suit individual needs; maybe you are a teenager/single/divorced looking for an opportunity to live in Spain and gain a new career in hair or beauty and set yourself on a new path. Hairdressing is an ever popular profession, and offers ample opportunities for all ages from 15 years upwards. Maybe you are fed up with your current job, or your lifestyle, or maybe you\'re unemployed, or simply bored with the everyday...
Whatever your situation, you are never too old to change your lifestyle and become a qualified Hairdresser, Barber or Beautician in the NVQ. Here at the KRU Hair & Beauty Academy, you will be able to learn new skills and receive rewarding benefits.
Not only will you learn all the skills necessary to embark on your new career, you will also gain the benefit of always being able to earn extra money. This career offers great job satisfaction and personal feedback. Being able to change the way someone looks helps them to feel good, and that in return helps you to feel good.
Governed by the VTCT (Vocational Training Charitable Trust), which has been a UK Government-approved award organisation since 1962, the NVQ qualification package certified through KRU combines on-the-job-training with theoretical and further practical training and practice. The course is taken in-house at the KRU salon in Javea, and enables you to work in the hair and beauty industry. This is typically a two year course but can be fast tracked over one and a half years. Open equally to men and women.
Starting from the basics of shampooing, conditioning, reception, health and safety, styling, cutting and colouring, as well as optional added units that can lead you up towards the managerial aspects of hairdressing. The more experienced you become, then the higher level of NVQ Hairdressing you can achieve and hopefully pass!
