GETTING
TO JAVEA / XABIA FROM VALENCIA AIRPORT
BY HIRE CAR
|
|
| The
town of Jávea / Xàbia is just 90 minutes drive from the El-Altet - Alicante
airport. As you leave the airport and make your way around the roundabout at
the exit, keep an eye for signs for Valencia / Murcia and take the
appropriate slip-road down to the N-340.
After just a few minutes, you're looking for the exit for the E-15 /
A-70 motorway in the direction of Alicante - Benidorm - Valencia. Take care
as you join this fast carriageway, especially during peak hours, and then
continue to the A-70 as it snakes around the city of Alicante. After almost
20 kilometres, you'll reach the first set of toll booths at El Campello. Take
a ticket from the machine and continue northwards for just over 65 kilometres
to exit 62: Ondara - Denia - Jávea / Xàbia. Leave the motorway and pass
through the tolls using one of the MANUAL lanes, paying the required amount
(7,00€ 03/2011). Immediately after the booths, you're looking to turn right
following the signpost to Alicante - Jávea / Xàbia and join the N-332 heading
south. After almost 6 kilometres, leave to join the CV-734 towards Jávea /
Xàbia.

|
| The
town of Jávea / Xàbia is just 90 minutes drive from the Manises - Valencia
airport. as you leave the airport, follow signs to the A-3 Valencia - Madrid.
After just over a kilometre, you'll be looking to stay in the right-hand lane
to follow the signs for the E-901 / A3 - Madrid; the slip-road will bend
around to the right almost 180º to join the motorway. Continue along the A-3 for just over 7 kilometres
and then look out for signs to join the E-15 / A-7 Alicante - Barcelona; take
the slip-road and continue as it passes under two motorway bridges and then
follow the signs to Alicante - Albacete; the slip-road splits into two and
you want to take the right-hand option that bends around the right and joins
the motorway above. After about 18 kilometres, the A-7 motorway effectively
splits into two - an inland route and a coastal route; KEEP LEFT to continue
along the E-15 / Ap-7 - Alicante & Murcia; this is the toll road. After
about 10 minutes, you will pass through a set of toll booths. Take
a ticket and continue southwards for just
over 65 kilometres - it should take between
30 - 40 minutes - to exit 62: Ondara - Denia
- Jávea / Xàbia. Leave the motorway and
pass through the tolls using one of the
MANUAL lanes, paying the required amount
(7,60€ 03/2011). Immediately after the booths,
you're looking to turn right following the
signpost to Alicante - Jávea / Xàbia and
join the N-332 heading south. After almost
6 kilometres, leave to join the CV-734 towards
Jávea / Xàbia. |

LONDON
TO VALENCIA
|
| It's
quite possible to travel from the United
Kingdom to Jávea / Xàbia by train - though
not
quite all the way as our town doesn't have
a rail link but certainly to within a short
coach trip of our lovely resort. The excellent
resource of www.seat61.com
describes the recommended route in detail
which uses the Eurostar connection between
London and Paris before transferring
to the Trenhotel service to Barcelona. From
the Catalan capital, there is an option
of the cheaper regional express to Valencia
or the faster, but more expensive, Euromed
service. From the city of Valencia, there
is a reguler coach service that passes through
Jávea / Xàbia.
