EL SALAET offers tapas with a twist, offering homemade artisan dishes made with natural locally sourced ingredients to provide a taste sensation to share with family and friends. Weekly chef specials and new tapas offer the opportunity to try something different almost every time you visit, meaning that El Salaet is fast becoming a popular place in the historic centre of Xàbia.

Under new ownership and with a new name, El Salaet offers something a bit different with a wide selection of tapas, rice dishes, gourmet vegan platters and traditional fish recipes, all of which are also available to take away.

There is a Menu del Día available from Monday to Friday and Thursday to Saturday they also offer their Rice and Tapas Menu. Thursday to Sunday you can enjoy a special Suc Roig and Tapas menu, which includes the traditional Rockfish stew or the Marinera Menu with traditional seafood dishes including the freshest catches from the bay. Saturday evenings you can enjoy a tasting menu to sample the very best that El Salaet has to offer.

Starters:
· Baba Ganoush salad with white garlic, salted fish and pita bread.
· Tomato salad with marinade, pickles and watercress.
· Seasonal fish tartar with pico de gallo (salsa fresca), avocado and yellow pepper.
· Cuttlefish Minxo - pancake with ink and allioli.
· Steamed tiger prawn, garlic and vegetable empanadillas (pasties).
· Clotxines - mussels with coconut juice, lime leaves and ginger (also available au natural).
· Octopus two ways: Flame grilled and with anise onions.
· Ecologic egg in tempura with organic vegetables and a thyme and miso sauce.
· Tender sirloin Carpaccio with Hollandese sauce of Montgó herbs and capers.
· Crispy Oxtail in it´s juice with 7 spices and vegetable cous-cous.
