BISTRO CASA GRAU

Self-taught chef Quique García had a dream of opening his own restaurant in the historic centre of Jávea, his home town. When a unit which had for more than a century been a storeroom of a knitting shop became available, that dream became a reality. He developed an idea based on old 19th-century Parisian bistros and created a restaurant with the aim of offering diners traditional cuisine to enjoy, looked after by a great professional team.

Opened in 2011, Bistro Casa Grau has developed a reputation for offering fantastic quality food at the right price. Located deep within the historic centre of Jávea, it is a cozy restaurant with a traditional yet modern cuisine based on the use of fresh seasonal produce. The food is offered with gourmet quality at an affordable price in comfortable surroundings with a special atmosphere.

Chef Quique says that he owes everything to his mother who gave to him his passion to cook. He loves traditional cuisine, the basis of all his dishes, something he learnt from his mother and he believes that the simplest dishes are the richest.

Sushi Fridays
Every Friday Casa Grau hosts Sushi night to enjoy a great variety of Sushi, choose from a single or double tray.

Reservation is essential, especially during the busier summer months and if you want to dine 'al-fresco' under the white lights that have been stretched across the street which add something special to the ambience.

Located in the narrow Carrer Major in the heart of the historic centre, Bistro Casa Grau offers something different to the otherwise excellent tapas bars of the old town. Not quite fine dining but certainly close to it. The Galician steaks are excellent, some of the starter tapas dished mouth-watering enough to sit on their own, whilst the desserts finish off the evening perfectly. Not cheap but the quality of food and excellent service confirms its value.
